Get ready for a fast-paced, hands-on Bath Bomb Making Party at home or in a local venue. Creativity, colour and a little friendly pressure come together in this “make as many as you can” session, designed to keep guests engaged, motivated and fully immersed from start to finish. Hosted across Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Eastbourne and surrounding areas of Sussex, it’s one of our most loved birthday party experiences.
Hosted by Brighton Rock Workshop, this bath bomb making party offers a similar hands-on feel to Lush-style bath bomb workshops, but in a private party setting designed around children and teens. Guests will mix, mould and create multiple bath bombs using a wide range of colours, scents and fun additions. While the atmosphere is upbeat and exciting, the session is fully guided and well structured. Some guests choose to focus on quantity, making as many bath bombs as they can within the time, while others prefer to slow things down and spend more time on each one, carefully decorating and perfecting the aesthetics.

💖 2.5-Hour Bath Bomb Making Workshop (hosted at your home or at a local venue).
Guests will enjoy a fast-paced, hands-on bath bomb making session designed to be fun, focused and full of creativity. This experience offers a similar hands-on feel to Lush-style bath bomb workshops, but in a private party setting designed especially for birthday celebrations. During the session, guests will:
Learn about and explore key bath bomb ingredients
Weigh, mix, colour and scent their bath bomb mixtures
Mould and shape multiple bath bombs throughout the session
Experiment with colours, embeds and decorative additions
Enjoy a bonus mini-activity to end the session with a smile (centred around the guest of honour!)

🍹 Signature Mocktail Drinks
The guest of honour chooses from our luxurious mocktail menu to kick things off in style (plain juices and lemonade will also be available).
🕒 Midway Break – a perfect time for snacks or lunch (optional, you would provide these). We’ll use this time to tidy up a bit and serve a second round of drinks while the guests take a breather.

All party bags come in a branded personalised Bath & Body Party gift box with the birthday guest’s name on 🫧
Each includes a sweets cup (also with their name on!), plus a range of age-appropriate gifts such as stationery, stickers and an expanding facial sponge. For our mid-range and VIP party boxes, we include a range of pamper items such as sheet face masks, bubble bars, hand lotions, etc.
All items are vegan and gluten-free!

💷 Pricing Made Simple
We like to keep our pricing as straightforward as possible.
All of our parties are priced at £210, which covers everything for up to 6 guests (guest of honour plus five additional guests). Extra guests are welcome at £24 per person. Also, if you change your mind and decide you’d prefer one of our other party types, we’re happy to accommodate the change if you give us a minimum of one week’s notice. A non-refundable deposit of £100 will be taken to confirm the booking, with the final balance due any time up to a week before the party. You do not need to know the exact number of guests to book.
We find that a smaller group works best for this type of hands-on activity, and we would generally recommend between 4 and 8 participating guests for the best experience. Many families choose to host the party at home, with us bringing all the materials and running the session for you. We do not charge any mileage if you’re based in Sussex!
If you’d prefer not to host at home or don’t have suitable space, we can make use of one of our regular party venues in Brighton (there will be a £40 fee for the venue hire), or we can travel to a venue of your choosing.

Bath Bomb Party FAQ’s

No. The time you book is the time the party begins and when all guests are expected to be present. We require approximately 30 minutes before the start time to set up and around 15 minutes afterwards to pack down.
To keep things easy for you, we take all washing up and equipment away with us, making the process quick, simple, and low mess.

Adult participation isn’t usually required for the activity itself. We fully lead the session from start to finish. However, we do ask that at least one responsible adult remains on site for the duration of the party for safeguarding reasons. For younger guests or in cases where additional support is needed, we may ask for light involvement. Some parents enjoy getting involved in the process, while others prefer to use the time to relax in another room, it is completely up to you!

We can work in a variety of home setups. Ideally, we need either a dining table (chairs are helpful but not essential) or an open area with enough space for guests to move comfortably without feeling cramped or creating a trip hazard. If you have chairs for everyone, that’s great, but the session can also be run standing around a table or even seated on the floor (with something soft to sit on).
All of our ingredients are non-staining and designed to be safe for home use. We bring a protective table covering, however if you have a table with a delicate or natural wood finish, we recommend placing a waterproof table cover underneath as an extra precaution in case of any oil spills. In general, the working area should be easy to wipe clean.
We will also need access to a nearby power socket for our hand mixers. This does not have to be in the same area as the main setup, as we are happy to move between two spaces (for example, using the kitchen for electrics if needed).

Yes. Lemonade or fruit juice is always available, so guests can choose a simple, non-mocktail option if they prefer. We’re always happy to make sure everyone has something they enjoy.

Our bath bombs are made completely from scratch using individual dry ingredients. Guests will weigh and mix bicarbonate of soda, citric acid and corn starch, before adding skin-loving carrier oils (all nut-free), colour and fragrance to create their own unique bath bomb blends.
For scent, we use high-quality, specially formulated fragrance oils, and for colour, we use premium, water-based pigments that are designed not to stain the bath or skin. Guests can also personalise their bath bombs with a range of natural and eco-friendly additions, including biodegradable, non-plastic glitters, strawberry seeds, dried botanicals, coconut shell husk and more.
All ingredients used in our bath bomb workshops are safety-certified, vegan and cruelty-free, gluten-free, and the entire process is fully guided to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Absolutely. All ingredients used in our bath bomb workshops are safety-certified and suitable for children. Sessions are fully guided, and we have carefully selected the age range we feel is most appropriate for this type of party to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
In the unlikely event that a guest is not following instructions or behaving in a way that could pose a risk to themselves or others, we may ask the supervising parent or carer to step in and assist. This is very rare, as we are experienced in managing groups and adapting activities to suit different ages, abilities and energy levels.

The hands-on workshop element lasts approximately two hours. We allow for up to a 30-minute break midway through the session, giving you time to serve food, cake, or snacks, or simply to let the guests have a short rest. In many cases, groups choose a shorter break of around 10–15 minutes and then continue, which can bring the overall finish time forward.
We typically pause for a break after about 1 hour and 15 minutes, followed by a second section of approximately 45 minutes.

We are very flexible about when you choose to serve food, snacks, or cake. A popular time is during our mid-session break, which usually takes place around 1 hour and 15 minutes after the workshop begins. This is also when we will clear the table and remove any unnecessary equipment in preparation for the second part of the session.
Alternatively, you are welcome to serve food at the end of the workshop, before we arrive, or after we leave, whatever best suits your plans.

Our bath bomb parties are designed for children and teens aged 7–16 years. For guests under 9, we may ask for some parent or carer participation if we feel a little extra support would be beneficial. We do not generally recommend the session for children under 7 years old, unless parents are willing to participate fully.
While the parties are tailored to this age range, there is no upper age limit for the activity, and we also run dedicated adult sessions. The most important factor is that guests are able to follow instructions and participate safely.

There is no lower guest limit for our parties, and we generally recommend keeping numbers to a maximum of 10 participants to ensure a calm, well-paced and fully supported session. Our standard pricing includes up to 6 participants (including the guest of honour), with an additional fee per extra guest. Extra places can be added up to three days before the party, so you don’t need to decide numbers straight away!
Most of our parties typically have between 5 and 8 participants, which we find to be an ideal group size for both enjoyment and smooth delivery.

Each guest will create a handful of mini bath bombs (approximately 40g per bomb), personalised with their own choice of scent, colour, and additions. They are free to make as many as they can in the time they have, and will usually leave the party with 4 to 5 items each.
All guests also take part in a special, feel-good element designed to celebrate the guest of honour and build confidence. The guest of honour gets to keep the results of this as a keepsake from their party. In addition, where time and group size allow, they may also receive an extra treat to keep.
